Artist Profile
Lanaca

Irish singer and multi-instrumentalist Lanaca is carving out a fresh sound - blending traditional Irish music with global pop influences in a fresh, authentic way. Inspired by artists like Rihanna, Rosalía, Tyla, Elyanna, she aspires to bring a fresh authentic perspective to Irish fusion.
Raised on everything from Fleetwood Mac and David Bowie to Beyoncé and trad bands like The Chieftains, her sound is both familiar and entirely new . She sings mainly in English but in Irish too. She draws inspiration from artists like Naika, Zeina, Saint Levant and Kneecap for their clever use of bilingualism.
Lanaca speaks English, Irish, and Spanish, and plays classical piano and tin whistle. Her goal is to reimagine Irish music without falling into the clichés she refers to as “leprechaunism” — the overly stereotyped, kitsch representations often seen in the mainstream. Instead, she offers a sensual yet tasteful sonic experience that honors Ireland’s musical heritage through the use of instruments like the uilleann pipes, fiddle, and bodhrán, all layered within polished pop production.
The result is a bold, culturally rooted sound that feels modern, sophisticated, and globally relevant.
